The Gramodaya School

🎨 Art & Craft at Gramodaya – Where Creativity Finds Its Canvas

At TGS – The Gramodaya School, we believe that education is incomplete without creativity, imagination and expression. Our Art & Craft program is designed to help children explore their inner artist, connect with Indian culture, and develop fine motor skills, patience, focus and confidence.

Art is not just an activity here – it is a language through which children think, feel and communicate.

🖌️ Dedicated Art & Craft Lab

Gramodaya has a fully equipped, exclusive Art & Craft Lab where students:

  • Experiment with different art mediums – pencil, crayons, pastels, charcoal, poster colours, water colours, acrylics etc.

  • Learn drawing, sketching, shading, colouring and composition

  • Explore craft work – paper craft, best-out-of-waste, collage, card making, model making, diya decoration, rakhi making and more

  • Participate in themed projects, festival decorations and school display boards

The lab is designed as a creative, colourful and safe space where children feel free to express themselves.

🏺 Pottery & Clay Modelling

One of the unique features of Gramodaya’s Art & Craft program is Pottery & Clay Work:

  • Children get hands-on experience with clay modelling and pottery

  • Learn to use basic pottery tools and techniques

  • Understand shapes, textures and 3D form

  • Develop patience, hand–eye coordination and concentration

This helps them stay rooted in rural and traditional Indian art forms, while enjoying the joy of creating something from scratch.

👩‍🏫 Expert Art & Craft Facilitators

Our Art & Craft sessions are guided by trained art facilitators who:

  • Teach step-by-step techniques suitable for each age group

  • Encourage original ideas instead of just copying

  • Help students participate in inter-school and national level art competitions

  • Integrate art with classroom topics (science diagrams, social science projects, language projects, etc.)

They ensure that every child, whether naturally gifted in art or not, gets a chance to enjoy, learn and grow creatively.

🎭 Integration with Culture, Festivals & School Life

Art & Craft at Gramodaya is closely linked to:

  • Indian festivals – Diwali, Holi, Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day, Republic Day, Janmashtami etc.

  • School events – Annual Day, Exhibitions, House Boards, Competitions

  • Rajasthan’s rich folk culture – local patterns, motifs, colours & crafts

This helps students stay connected to their roots, traditions and values, while upgrading their creative skills.

🌟 Benefits of Art & Craft for Students

Through regular Art & Craft activities, students develop:

  • Creativity & imagination

  • Fine motor skills & hand control

  • Visual thinking & aesthetic sense

  • Patience, focus & emotional balance

  • Confidence through display & appreciation of their work

🎨 Art Beyond Marks

At TGS – The Gramodaya School, Art & Craft is:

  • Not just part of the timetable,

  • But a core element of holistic education.

We nurture children who can think like artists, solve like designers and feel like humans – ready for a world where creativity is as important as knowledge.
